Broward Circuit Court - Bicyclist recovers for injuries in Broward crosswalk collision
In
2007, Mr. Farber obtained a jury award of $570,157 for an 18 year woman
who sustained lower back injuries when she was struck while bicycling
through a crosswalk. In the accident, she sustained lumbar disc
herniations at L4-5 and L5-S1 and a bulging disc at L3-4. The bulk of
the award includes $412,000 for future pain and suffering.
Amendment 7
As
one of the first Court Orders in the State of Florida following the
Florida Supreme Court's March 6, 2008 decision, Mr. Farber turned the
health care industry on its head by successfully compelling a hospital
to provide its peer review/Amendment 7 materials to the plaintiff.
