Viviana Fernandez, a native Spanish speaker, assists the law firm with all aspects of business law, including, but not limited to, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, e-commerce law, litigation, domain name dispute resolutions as well as risk mitigation assessments for marketing departments worldwide.
Ms. Fernandez, as the Intellectual Property Director, works closely with Mr. Farber assisting the firm’s multinational clients with their trademarks which are extensive and widespread. In particular, she assists the firm’s clients with domestic and international trademark prosecution, trademark clearance, worldwide filing management, and the negotiation of worldwide mutual co-existence agreements and enforcement strategies designed to defend marks and prevent infringements.
Ms. Fernandez, in addition to serving as the Intellectual Property Director, assists the firm in its personal injury, insurance dispute, and commercial litigation practice.
Ms. Fernandez received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), cum laude, and Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Florida International University.
Ms. Fernandez is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Asociación Interamericana de la Propiedad Industrial (Inter-American Association of Industrial Property - Women's Committee), Hispanic National Bar Association, and SCORE (Small Business Mentoring and Training - Counselor).
