David S. Farber
David S. Farber is the founder of the Law Office of David S. Farber, P.A.  He concentrates his practice on complex civil and commercial litigation including first party property and casualty insurance disputes (stemming from fires, hurricanes, water losses, etc.), business and intellectual property law as well as personal injury, wrongful death, auto accidents, premises liability, and negligence claims.

Mr. Farber earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Majors: Finance and Insurance), with Honors, from the University of Florida (while also completing continuing education with a specialization in Property and Casualty Insurance) and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law.  While in law school, Mr. Farber received honors and distinctions including Litigation Skills Pre-Trial and Trial Top 10% and served as a member of the University of Miami School of Law’s National and State Mock Trial Teams.

Mr. Farber is admitted to practice before the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the Supreme Court of Florida, all local courts within the State of Florida, the Supreme Court of Texas, and all local courts within the State of Texas.

Mr. Farber began his legal career representing defendants, through insurance companies, in complex civil and commercial litigation matters, including, but not limited to, insurance coverage disputes, doctors/hospitals for claims of medical medical malpractice, nursing home/assisted living facilities for claims of abuse as well as the defense of personal injury, wrongful death, auto accidents, premises liability, negligence claims, and business disputes.  During his tenure at this defense firm, Mr. Farber supervised a team of attorneys and was instrumental in the firm's growth from 15 attorneys to over 80 attorneys in less than six years.  Having now obtained invaluable experience and insight in representing defendants in various legal matters, Mr. Farber teamed-up with a prestigious group of nationally recognized preeminent plaintiff trial attorneys to assist the catastrophically injured and businesses/individuals in multi-million dollar disputes.  Having now represented defendants and plaintiffs at the highest of levels, Mr. Farber founded the Law Office of David S. Farber, P.A. to provide intelligent, effective and versatile legal representation for a diverse litigation and transactional client base.
Mr. Farber has been selected by his peers in “Florida Trend Magazine” in its 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 editions as one of Florida’s Legal Elite.  For 2010, only 1.8% of all Florida Bar Members were selected for inclusion.  Mr. Farber has also been named to Florida's Super Lawyers in the 2011 editioin of "Florida Super Lawyers Magazine."  The magazine lists outstanding lawyers who have achieved a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, an honor only bestowed upon 5% of South Florida Attorneys.  Mr. Farber has obtained numerous significant victories for his clients, some of which can be seen here.

Mr. Farber enjoys litigating against goliath insurance companies, assisting “mom and pop” operations in achieving their legal and business goals, representing the catastrophically injured, and managing and assisting mid to large corporations in maintaining, protecting, and preserving their established businesses through litigation, contracts, and brand/asset management.  He presently represents numerous individuals, a Fortune 1000 company, and many for-profit and non-profit corporations.  When not working, Mr. Farber enjoys spending time with his family and fishing.   

Mr. Farber is member of the Dade County Bar Association, Broward County Justice Association, International Trademark Association (INTA), and the Asociación Interamericana de la Propiedad Industrial (Inter-American Association of Industrial Property).
